I'M ENGAGED!
I have just recently got engaged! It was a really beautiful proposal which my fiancé poured all his heart into preparing. I have always imagined what I would do when I am proposed to but no matter how much I mentally prepared myself, I still got thrown off so much that day I did not react the way I wanted to. It also took me a few weeks to finally process what actually happened. That aside, I discovered a really good wash-off mask that I want to share with you, shall we?

YAS, THE GOOD ONES
Glycerin can help keep the skin hydrated and keep the overactive oil glands under control.
Butylene Glycol is a powerful moisturiser. Hence this could potentially be a life saver for those of you with extremely dry skin!
Also known as Sea Buckthorn, Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract is a super ingredient that is effective on the skin for burns, wounds, cuts and any kind of skin damage. This is due to its high content of carotenoids, giving it potent cell-regenerating, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It also absorbs into the skin very quickly.
Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract is good for soothing and protecting oily skin.
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate is a dipotassium salt of Glycyrrhizic Acid. It is normally used as a flavouring agent and a skin conditioning agent as it as anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E) is a major lipid-soluble antioxidant in the skin. It protects the skin against peroxide and pro-oxidants and can prevent oxidation in cosmetics. If Vitamin E levels are insufficient, harmful foreign substances can easily invade as our skin's protective function will be weakened. This can cause our skin to age faster. Hence, by ensuring our skin gets the vitamin E it needs, we can slow down cell ageing by reducing lipid peroxidation. Vitamin E can also help soften our skin and soothe inflammation as well as protect our skin against sun damage. Now that I recall, my orthopaedic surgeon has actually prescribed me a vitamin E cream for the scars on my knee after my knee surgery.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), is great in promoting wound healing. It can help fade scars and improve our skin texture as it also mildly exfoliates.
Niacinamide is a vitamin B3 derivatives best known for its skin brightening properties. It can reduce pigmentation as it prevents melanin from migrating to the epidermis. With this, this product is able to help bring out the glow and give the dull skin a good makeover. Not just that, it also has anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties, allowing it help reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion!
Retinyl Palmitate has anti-aging properties and can provide antioxidant protection. The incorporation of Retinyl Palmitate in our skincare routine can help reduce the appearance of dry flaky skin.
PATCH TESTING
I strongly encourage you to patch test before applying it all over your face. Just swab a small amount of the product on your wrist or behind your ear and wait a while to see how your skin reacts. If your skin experiences any burning effect or has any irritation that is not supposed to accompany the product, wash it off immediately and seek medical attention if the irritation doesn’t go away after washing.
SMELLS VERY GOOD
The mask has a strong citrusy orange smell which I am in love with. I love all products that have this kind of smell. The smell is due to the lemon peels within the mask, which can deep cleanse and exfoliate the skin. The smell will linger on the skin during the 15 minutes when the mask is on. If you are not a fan of strong smell, this might not be your cup of tea. But I can assure you, the smell is really good hehe.
HOW TO USE
After washing my face, I will take a scoop of the mask and apply onto my face avoiding the eyes and lip area. Personally, I love using a brush to apply the mask. But you can also use hand to apply and at the same time massage the skin a little during application. If you are worried that the lemon peel might cause irritation, you can add water or toner to mix and massage. After 10-15minutes, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
My pores are significantly smaller after applying the mask!
PERSONAL OPINION
The mask has a gel texture and can be easily applied on the skin. It has a cooling effect on my skin which I really like. I would use it on a biweekly basis to recharge and nourish my skin. Priced at RM91 (USD22.40), this tub comes with 100ML of All day Vitamin Nourishing & Recharging Wash-Off Mask, which is enough to last me at least 3 months (using twice a week). Frankly, I think this is quite fairly priced for what it can do. Do give it a try if you have the chance!
