LEFT MY JOB
I just recently quit my job as a Senior 2 at a big 4 audit firm and felt like the weight of the world just got lifted from my shoulders. It was the best feeling ever. The job has given me a lot of good experiences and has made me friends that would last a lifetime. Yet, I know it is time for me to leave as the company culture is changing and I know it isn't a smart choice for me to stay anymore. Well, let's see where life's going to take me next. Now, let's go to the review, shall we?

YAS, THE GOOD ONES
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), is great in promoting wound healing. It can help fade scars and improve our skin texture as it also mildly exfoliates.
Salicylic Acid is a type of BHA which is a natural exfoliant and is used in many acne treatments as it can help skin shed dead cells and clear pores. Not just that, it can also stimulate new cell formation and help reduce the appearance of marks (goodbye acne marks!). Normally, I do not encourage anyone to use Salicylic Acid on a daily basis. Some of you may be sensitive to it, and if you use it regularly, you may end up with skin that is dry, red, and peeling. But Salicylic Acid is the most used ingredient for acne. It can reduce the inflammation and help your skin recover faster. Just take note that you should quickly use a moisturiser on top of it and avoid using it with other skin-drying product(s) to prevent further drying out your skin!
Chlorhexidine Digluconate is here for its antimicrobial properties, i.e. it can help reduce inflammation and has sterilisation effects. Research has shown that at cosmetic use concentrations, Chlorhexidine Digluconate was not irritating to the eyes or skin. Hence need not to be too concerned although it is rated as 4 (moderate risk) by EWG.
Also known as Sea Buckthorn, Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract is a super ingredient that is effective on the skin for burns, wounds, cuts and any kind of skin damage. This is due to its high content of carotenoids, giving it potent cell-regenerating, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It also absorbs into the skin very quickly.
NAH, THE BAD ONES
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a synthetic detergent and surfactant. It is commonly is used in personal care products, cosmetics and cleaning products as to control static, condition skin and hair, boost lathering and control viscosity. Do take note that it might cause skin irritation, allergies, rosacea and eczema in certain individuals.

PATCH TESTING
I strongly encourage you to patch test before applying it all over your face. Just swab a small amount of the product on your wrist or behind your ear and wait for a few minutes to see how your skin reacts. If your skin experiences any burning effect or has any irritation that is not supposed to accompany the product, wash it off immediately and seek medical attention if the irritation doesn’t go away after washing. So far my skin feels great from using this cleanser, not exactly soft and supple but definitely no irritation!
The gel which consists of ascorbic acid, salicylic acid and vitamin tree extract is transparent with a tinge of yellow.
VITAMIN CLEANSER
I have never tried a vitamin cleanser before. Having tried Jumiso's sheet mask before, I have decided to give its All day Vitamin Clean & Mild Facial Cleanser a try. It is a gel cleanser rich in sea buckthorn (a.k.a. vitamin tree) extract and salicylic acid to help keep the skin clean and clear. Also containing ascorbic acid, this cleanser has a pH of around 5.5 which is within the optimal pH value of our skin, which ranges from 4.7 and 5.75.
REFRESHING FOR THE MORNING
This is a gel cleanser and has the most refreshing smell ever which I am super in love with. It smells like citrus mixed with orange (kinda like the orange-flavoured Chupa Chups lollipop). I use it as a morning cleanser because I love its refreshing smell that wakes me up fully in the morning. If you're not a fan of heavy smell, fret not, the smell does not linger after you have washed it off. By the way, it is also gentle enough for you to use around your eyes!
HOW TO USE
Its texture is a little watery despite being a gel cleanser and it lathers easily with just a little water. After creating enough bubbles on my palms, I will massage it on my skin to remove all the dirt that accumulated on my skin after a night's sleep. After that I will rinse it off with lukewarm water. If you had bad experiences with gel cleansers that dry your skin out, you need to try this because this is by far the only gel cleanser that I have tried which does not make my skin feel tight at all.
It is not suitable for removing waterproof makeup. It only came off after I scrubbed the back of my hand a little while rinsing with water. You can see in the rightmost picture my hand is a little pinkish from the scrubbing. As such, I only recommend using this as a second cleanser after all makeup has been removed.
(Top to bottom: concealer, browcara, waterproof mascara, eyeliner)
WHAT IS MY SAY
After personally trying it out, I really like Jumiso's All day Vitamin Clean & Mild Facial Cleanser as it is non-drying and is rich in vitamin while at the same time contains salicylic acid. I can finally have a good morning cleanser that can sufficiently cleanse my skin before I start my morning skincare routine! What's even better is it is quite affordable at it costs below RM50 (USD12). Do give it a try too if you have the chance!
