BEST MONTH EVER
This is by far the best month ever since I started work. I took two months off for my last ICAEW paper (read my ICAEW journey here and here) and I honestly don't think I need that much time-off. Even our lecturer urged us to go back to work since there is not much to study until the Advanced Information (the first part of the exam paper for Case Study) comes out. But I had taken the leave anyway, why not just indulge myself again in doing something I love? (Like being here 😚)

Butylene Glycol and Sodium Hyaluronate are both powerful moisturisers. Hence this could potentially be a life saver for those of you with extremely dry skin!
Glycerin can help keep the skin hydrated and keep the overactive oil glands under control.
For oily skin peep, you can find your best friends, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract and Allantoin here. They have soothing effect and are known for their protectant properties on the skin.
Allantoin can also improve dry and rough skin as it provides our skin with intensive moisture. Being a skin conditioner, it is also known for its ability to soothe irritated skin and protect our skin from external irritants and dirt.

Punica Granatum, also known as Pomegranate, has long been touted for its high levels of Vitamin C and antioxidants, which helps prevent cell damage. Researches and studies have shown that it can speed up wound healing and plays a positive role in the repair of sun damaged and ageing skin.
Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract is a natural ingredient that is used for its potent antioxidant and skin-conditioning benefits. Blueberry contains several types of antioxidants (known as polyphenolics) that are not only healthy for our body when eaten but also for our skin when applied via skincare products like this red serum.
Niacinamide is a vitamin B3 derivatives best known for its skin brightening properties. It can reduce pigmentation as it prevents melanin from migrating to the epidermis. I've seen it featured in many of Klairs products. With this, this product is able to help bring out the glow and give the dull skin a good makeover. Not just that, it is also good as an anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing ingredient (read this article if you want to know more)! What's best about it is that it helps stabilise vitamin C and shows enhanced effects when used with vitamin C.
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate is a dipotassium salt of Glycyrrhizic Acid. It is normally used as a flavouring agent and a skin conditioning agent as it as anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Adenosine is an amazing anti-wrinkle ingredient. It is capable of boosting the levels of proteins such as Collagen and Elastin, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and promote wound healing. Oh boy, I need this for my under-eye! According to Wishtrend, adenosine can also effectively improve acne caused by oily skin!
The serum is transparent and not really runny.

I like being able to skip this part. Skincarisma has not highlighted anything bad at all from this ingredient list! Now, let's see how it actually does!
IS IT RED?
When I first saw the name of this red serum, the first thing that crossed my mind was that this serum is red in colour. Turns out, it's not. The bottle itself is red, the dropper's head is red, just not the serum. The serum itself is transparent. So why is it named "Red Serum"? That's because it contains antioxidants extracted from red-coloured fruits such as pomegranates and raspberries, which can effectively prevent our skin's collagen from breaking down too quickly.
After spreading it out but before patting it in. It feels very moisturising.
WHAT IS IT LIKE?
First and foremost, it smells really good. The scent is rather faint and it reminds me of a botanical garden lol. Consistency wise I wouldn't say it is watery, but it is not gooey either. After all it is a serum and to me, serums are supposed to be heavier than essence/toner but still lighter than a gel/cream based product. I am, however, not really a big fan of the sticky residue it leaves on my skin after drying down.
HOW TO USE
It can take quite a while for the serum to absorb due to its consistency, so I only use it at night (always sleeping the extra 5 minutes in the morning haha). I also only use it on my neck because I realised it has been the culprit behind the itchy bumps on my sensitive skin. You just have to cleanse your face, put on your toner and/or essence followed by one drop of the red serum each on your forehead and cheeks (total 3 drops). After that, just pat your skin gently until it gets fully absorbed.

According to Skin & Lab, this one bottle of red serum can resolve ALL the skin concerns of females, i.e. it is made for whitening, wrinkle-care, moisturising, skin-calming and oil control. They even claimed that you can see a difference at the moment of application and a comparable difference after 5 days of usage. That to me is a very big claim and do you think this serum can live up to its claims?

WHAT DO I THINK?
Honestly, I have not seen any major change in my skin texture. The 40ml red bottle is emptying and the only claim by Skin & Lab that I dare say I am experiencing is the moisturising effect. Moreover, I really am not so into products that dry down sticky because it feels very uncomfortable. It feels as if I am sweating in a humid weather and that's not something I can sleep well with (since I use it at night). Hence, not going to repurchase and I wouldn't recommend it if you're like me.
