CAN'T WAIT TO SHEET MASK
My eyes had been swollen for the past few days it has been difficult for me to take pictures and test out sheet mask. 😭 What's worse is I couldn't even put on concealer when I headed out so it looked really funny with me having concealer on only one of my eyes. So I waited a week plus for it to calm down before I start using any sheet mask again. I really don't know what caused the infection but one thing I learnt is that please don't rub your eyes if it feels itchy. Just hold back the urge!

YAS, THE GOOD ONES
Artemisia Princeps is a type of Japanese mugwort (known as yomogi in Japanese). Mugwort is very popular for its antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Its extracts can soothe, heal and nourish the skin, reduce redness and alleviate psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and other irritations. Not just that, being loaded with antioxidants and vitamin E allows it to protect the skin barrier as well.
Butylene Glycol and Panthenol are both powerful moisturisers. Hence this could potentially be a life saver for those of you with extremely dry skin! Panthenol is also known for its ability to promote wound healing, as well as alleviate other irritations like eczema.
Glycerin can help keep the skin hydrated and keep the overactive oil glands under control.

This mask also contains Cordyceps Sinensis Extract. Cordyceps Sinensis is a super expensive exotic Chinese medicine. In Mandarin, we call it 冬虫夏草 (Dong1 Cong2 Xia4 Cao3), literally translates to winter worm summer grass. It is consumed to help boost immune system and increase the body's energy level in traditional Chinese medicine. Its extract is known to have anti-aging properties. Some researches also indicated that its extract has sun care ability.
Then, we have Allantoin. An ingredient that aims to improve dry and rough skin as it provides our skin with intensive moisture. Being a skin conditioner, it is also known for its ability to soothe irritated skin and protect our skin from external irritants and dirt.

Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate is a dipotassium salt of Glycyrrhizic Acid. It is normally used as a flavouring agent and a skin conditioning agent as it as anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties.
NAH, THE BAD ONES
It's been a while but I can finally skip this one again! My heart just did a backflip there out of happiness! Skincarisma has not highlighted anything bad at all from this ingredient list! This is not surprising at all considering that the ingredient list is really minimal with only 15 ingredients. Now, let's go into the texture, smell, feel and results part of this lovely one!
HOW TO USE
After cleansing, prep the skin with the toner. Remove the guiding sheet and put on the mask sheet. The mask is super thin so be really careful so that you don't accidentally tear it. Smooth out all the bubbles and you can wrap the excess part down your chin for a little chin lifting. After 20 minutes, remove the sheet and gently pat the remaining essence to promote absorption. Personally, I would wash off the remaining essence after 5 minutes of patting.

p.s. It did feel a little sticky (to the point I keep eating my own hair when I walk lol) awhile after I removed the mask so I would recommend to use it before sleep.
SO COOL
Other that the amazing cooling sensation and the feel of the mask pulling when I move my face/head, I could literally not feel anything sticking onto my face. That's how thin the mask is. Although it falls a little short on my nose, I still felt it fits on perfectly, covering my chin from ear to ear. It even managed to cover my notoriously high forehead that makes a lot of other masks look small. It also adheres really well because it didn't budge a bit while I was sitting upright writing this post.
GIMME THE SENSES
There is a little herbal smell (I'm guessing it's from the Cordyceps Sinensis Extract) detected when I opened up the mask pack. It was not heavy and in fact, it smelled therapeutic. Pulling the sheet mask out, the smell slowly dissipated and I think it's safe for me to say that I couldn't detect anything when it was stuck on my skin during the 20-minute masking session. There was also plenty of essence in the mask pack, allowing me to pamper the skin of hands and legs as well haha.
LIKE, OMG!
I'm sold the moment I saw the packaging and the 91.45%. Yes, I have a soft spot for masks, especially sheet masks that can soothe the skin in 20 minutes haha. Stepping into mid-20s isn't something I expected so soon and I certainly did not expect my skin condition to become so sensitive and easily irritated as I get older. Sheet masks in this category is what gets me through when I'm in dire need of a quick fix. If you face the same issue as me, this mask is for you!
