|REVIEW| Swissvita Micrite 3D All Use Mask: OMG So Thin!

NOT LONG AGO
I shared a website review on AllYoung.my not long ago and I thought it is finally time for me to review one the products I got for myself during my haul. It wasn't that difficult to choose which products I wanted to try as there weren't many choices available on AllYoung yet (unlike now haha). So I settled on Swissvita's Micrite 3D All Use Mask and the Mandelic Acid Perfect Ratio Complex Serum. Today, let's talk about the mask.

Swissvita Micrite 3D All Use Mask (RM75 for 5 Disposable Packs)

MASKING! And I feel like my work has worn me down a lot and things are about to get worse. Therefore I'm going to use a mask that can pump moisture to my skin, help reduce fine lines as well as tighten up and firm my skin. I choose you, Swissvita Micrite 3D All Use Mask!

The back of the box.

YAS, THE GOOD ONES
Niacinamide is a vitamin B3 derivatives best known for its skin brightening properties. It can reduce pigmentation as it prevents melanin from migrating to the epidermis. I've seen it featured in many of Dear, Klairs products. With this, this mask is able to help bring out the glow and give the dull skin a good makeover.  Not just that, it is also good as an anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing ingredient (read this article if you want to know more)! What's best about it is that it helps stabilise vitamin C and shows enhanced effects when used with vitamin C.

Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol and Butylene Glycol are all powerful moisturisers. Hence this could potentially be a life saver for those of you with extremely dry skin!

Arbutin is known for its properties in inhibiting dark spots and freckles and preventing skin ageing. It is a natural skin lightening/whitening agent, which works by slowly releasing hydroquinone through hydrolysis, which in turn blocks Tyrosinase activity and reduces the skin’s melanin (pigmentation) production.

A clearer close-up for you to see. My index finger still has the indelible ink from Malaysia's General Election 14.

YAS, THE GOOD ONES (contd.)
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate is a dipotassium salt of Glycyrrhizic Acid. It is normally used as a flavouring agent and a skin conditioning agent as it as anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Trehalose is a sugar found in plants, fungi and invertebrate animals, normally used in beauty products as a flavoring agent and moisturiser. It has antioxidant powers and can help retain the skin's moisture that it would otherwise lose. Sounds awesome for dry skin people and those who want to reduce ageing signs!

Alpha-Bisabolol is able to enhance product penetration and calm inflammation. Not just that, it can also deeply moisturise the skin as it is a good source of panthenol, which is a form of vitamin B. You can refer to this article on Bisabolol for more of its amazing benefits!

Brightening: Niacinamide, Arbutin, Alpha-Bisabolol
Anti-Aging: Niacinamide
Promotes Wound Healing: Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Alpha-Bisabolol

Opening up the mask...

NAH, THE BAD ONES
This ingredient list is so clean I'm impressed. All of its ingredients are safe on the skin as almost all of them are rated 1 by EWG with only 3 ingredients being rated at 3 (still safe according to EWG). That's awesome! However, if you have oily skin, do be careful with the Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract as it is potentially comedogenic. I've never had any breakout from using this mask though!

LOVING THE PACKAGING
Honestly I'm drawn to certain type packaging when I choose a mask to try. I like mask packaging that looks minimalistic yet in a way looks luxurious. Oh boy, it's hard to define my feel luxurious in this context. It has to be matte, contains all the information but not too crammed with words, and best to have all its words printed in a sharp and easily readable font. Yes, I'm weird and I'm picky. But this mask manages to satisfy all my quirky needs!

See the bluish material inside?

WHEN OPENED UP
I was a little shocked to see something blue inside the mask package. I was thinking this is a blue mask until I realised it's just a protective sheet LOL. The rapid-penetrating botanical fibre mask is super thin and looks just like my second skin when I put it on. It also smells a little sweet like Mountain Dew. The smell is constantly detectable during the 15 minutes (recommended time is 15 to 20 minutes) I had it on.

That's the white layer you have to remove before putting on the mask.

IMPRESSIVE MATERIALS
According to Swissvita, this botanical fibre mask is a new ultra-invisible technology (hence why it looks like my second skin) and is able to deliver double the amount of serum deep into your skin, thanks to Tornare™. That I can feel it because my skin looks very dewy and plumped after removing the mask. Not just that, it also contains patented ingredients such as AC-11®, Sea Shine™ and Abyssine ®.

Putting on the mask with the blue layer facing out.

HOW TO USE
Before you do anything, cleanse your skin thoroughly and wash your hands. Because the All Use Mask comes with two protective layers, you have to first remove the white film before putting it on your face with the blue side facing out. After you're satisfied with how the mask is sitting on your face, slowly peel off the blue layer and smooth out the mask further. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then remove it and gently pat in the remaining serum.

Let's remove the blue protective film carefully.

Here's a close-up of the blue protective layer.

NO NEED TO RINSE
Now this is where the mask stands out against other masks I've tried. It doesn't leave a sticky finish! Even immediately after taking off the mask, my skin feels smooth and hydrated without any tackiness. That's just amazing because I won't feel tempted to wash my face and wasting all the serum residue which my skin can take some time to absorb. I also felt that my skin is firmer and a little tighter (in a good way) after doing the mask.

Another close-up to let you see how thin the mask is. Both the eye and mouth slits are smaller than other masks I've tried!

WHAT ABOUT IN BETWEEN
While using the mask, the most noticeable thing was the smell. Other than that, maybe a little of the cooling effect, but nothing like what I've experienced before (that translates to: very mild cooling effect LOL). The mask also stays on very well without slipping down at all. What impressed me the most is the eye and mouth slits, which are incredibly small, allowing it to go really close to the edges and make sure every inch of my skin is covered.

The mask fit. The part on the forehead could use some improvement haha.

It's been 15 minutes, time to remove the mask! See how dewy my skin looks? 😱

FINAL SAY
I like the mask packaging, material, ingredients, the fit and certainly the effects! I guess long-lasting moisture and enhanced skin hydration are something that my skin has been longing for ever since I started working late because my skin definitely looks super 'happy' (yeah, my skin totally has its own emotions HAHA) right now. With noticeably increased skin elasticity and a healthy glow that surprised me, I highly recommend you to give this mask a try!

How the mask looks like.

I still can't get over how different my skin condition looks after using the mask. It's whitened, super moisturised and the fine lines (pay attention to the fine lines under the words 'Before' and 'After') are gone. I'm so going to repurchase!
