|REVIEW| Heimish Dailism Eye Palette Coral Essay: No More Normal

FIRST MAKEUP REVIEW
I've never for once written a review on any makeup product here. Today I'm gonna break the skincare-only rule because I want to introduce this little eyeshadow palette that I got from Style Korean in their Pink In Blossom review box hehe. This is a palette from Heimish. In the box I actually found three products from Heimish. One is this Dailism Eye Palette Coral Essay, the other two are the Artless Glow Base SPF50/PA+++ and the Bulgarian Rose Water Mist Serum.

INGREDIENT LIST

Talc, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Boron Nitride, Silica, Magnesium Myristate, Propanediol, Polyisobutene, Dimethicone, Lauroyl Lysine, Methyl Trimethicone, Mineral Oil, Iron Oxides, Ultramarines

So far it is looking okay in the ingredient department other than the slight risk from the Ultramarines (used as colourant) being highlighted by SkinCarisma. Seeing that it is last on the list, all I can say is that I don't think it is much of an issue. After testing it out on my eyelids for the past whole month, I haven't noticed any discomfort or issue on my eyelids.

I like the box packaging a lot because it looks like a book! HAHA!

OUTSIDE IN
The packaging is very alluring with a stylish yet simplistic aesthetic. Although made of plastic, it feels very sturdy in hand. As a makeup newbie, it took me a while to pry open the palette (I was afraid I would break it!). Once opened up, I find myself looking at a huge mirror, a beautiful rose gold two-headed eyeshadow brush and 8 pans of eyeshadow in various shades of coral: three matte, three semi-glossy and two glossy. I like that the colours give off a spring/summer vibe!

This palette only opens up to roughly 120 degrees.

BRUSH IN DETAIL
Let's talk more about the brush. The two-headed brush has a medium size rounded fluffy all-over brush on one end which can be used to deposit and blend colours, whereas on the other is a smaller rounded brush tip that's more compact. The smaller end looks perfect for detailing or applying shadow as liner. I have to admit, I'm not exactly a fan of the brush after testing it out a few times. It is convenient for travelling but I wouldn't use it when I have my ToSave brushes around!

Packing shadows onto the lid? Good! Blending out colour? Meh.

TOO EXCITED
I was extremely excited to have been able to own such a trendy and modern palette. So excited that I swatched it multiple times before I managed to take a picture of it before it was used. Therefore in the pictures that I'm about to show you, you'd see some dents here and there in the eyeshadow palettes haha! I hope you don't mind! 😅 Hey, at least that means I actually like it, right??? HAHA!

p.s. I can guarantee that it came packed just like any other new eyeshadow palette would LOL.

Soft and shimmering: the eight universally flattering shades in this palette are all you need to light up eyes for day and night.

USE IT EVERY DAY
The shades available in this little palette is perfect for daily makeup. It has a mostly nude and peachy colours, but can also be dressed up with the glitters and brown for a smokier look. There is also a wonderful variety of point shades, middle shades, base shades and highlighting shades which are just nice for a makeup newbie like me (or else I'd have problems choosing!). These shades are also all in different kinds of finishes i.e. from matte to glittery!

LOOK AT THE COLOURS

PURE PEACH

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
Pure Peach is an nude colour shade with a matte finish. It's neither powdery nor chalky to the touch, but silky smooth. Its decent neutral shade makes it great to be used as a base before layering on other shades. It is my second favourite shade of all because it helps bring out my eyes without looking like I've put on a tonne of makeup. It also blends onto the lids very easily and evenly without leave any patchiness.

PEACH CORAL
Picking it up with my finger.

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
Peach Coral is a highly pigmented burnt orange shade with a matte finish as well. Its texture is the same as Pure Peach but this is more suitable to be used as a point colour in my opinion due to its darker share. I personally prefer to put this at my eye corners to bring out the shape of my eyes.

PINK CORAL
Picking it up with my finger.

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
Pink Coral is a vibrant pinkish strawberry coral with plenty of golden shimmer. It feels a little gritty to the touch at first when I used my finger to pick up some of the eyeshadow. However, once evened out, it is smooth and looks super pigmented. I like to use this to line my eyes and dot a little on my waterline to give my eyes some dimension without looking overly dramatic.

BRONZE CORAL
Picking it up with my finger.

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
Bronze Coral is a tawny colour with a glittery finish. This shade is so immensely pigmented I just couldn't get enough of it. All I need is ONE touch and I would be able get the colour in full. It also feels buttery to the touch. It is suitable to be used as point colour as well given its darker shade.

NUDE CORAL

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
Nude Coral is a tumbleweed colour with matte finish. This is my number one favourite, of which I use as a base colour for my eyelids on many days in the past one month. Its colour matches my skin colour the best and I love how just on its own it can give a natural healthy pink and some dimension to my eyes.

CORAL GLITTER
Picking it up with my finger.

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
Coral Glitter is a brownish golden shade with a glittery finish. This shade is very highly pigmented as well but it's often hard to get an even distribution of the glitter on my eyelids. When I use my finger to pick up the eyeshadow, there will be some small gap noticeable here and there. Nevertheless, I've been using this a lot to add a little highlight to the middle part of my lids after I think I've got the rest of the colours nicely blended in.

PINK GLITTER
Picking it up with my finger.

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
The name of this confused me a little when I looked at the shade inside the palette. The actual colour is more to an off-white colour with a very light tinge of pinkish/purplish orange (not sure I'm doing the colour description correctly 😂. I like to use this to highlight my inner conner because of its lighter shade. But do be careful not to overdo it as the glitters might transfer quite easily.

LITCH BROWN
Picking it up with my finger.

On my eye.

ABOUT THE TEXTURE
This is the dark mocha brown shade with a little glitter which could be used to do a smoky eyeshadow for a fun night out. It can also be used to line the eyes and make them pop. I seldom use this during the day as I mostly aim for a subtler look at work. The colour is very dark when picked up with finger but when it goes onto the eyelid it doesn't look that intense. But it is definitely buildable to give a great smoky eye look.

MY EYELID 'PRIMER'
To ensure the colour is showing up nicely on my lid, I put on a little of the Heimish Artless Glow Base SPF50/PA+++ to act as a base for the eyeshadows to glide on nicely. This is a suncream of which the pinkish white cream blends out on the skin to give a transparent glow to the skin. It helps the eyeshadow colours to show through better and adhere better to my eyelids.

See its ingredient list and the ingredient analysis on Skincarisma.

The box.

Can you see the glow? You can use this as a base for your makeup and skin foundation!

MY NEW HG SUNBLOCK
It has a semi-matte non-sticky finish which is very comfortable on the skin even above layers of skincare (I always use my Benton Cacao Moist and Mild Serum under it hehe). It doesn't feel greasy or oily at all. I put this on in the morning and come back from work after more than 8 hours. My complexion still looks glowy without becoming excessively oily. Seeing that it has SPF50 and PA+++, this has become the sunblock I reach towards the most nowadays haha! Highly recommend this if you like a semi-matte finish!
