Along with the meltable Clapiel AUS Black Diamond Mask, KStylesBox also sent me this SLC Effects Plus Essence Blemish Cover. I was deciding which mask to use yesterday and the decision was made when I saw the name of this one. My skin is currently breaking out a lot so a Blemish Cover Mask sounds like a great idea! I need give some love to my troubled skin and calm it down before I go back to work tomorrow!

This one is easy. There are so many moisturising ingredients in this! Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate and Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract are all powerfully moisturising, so it's like a 5 to 1 game with the Alcohol in it.

I'm sure you're not unfamiliar with the image of a woman having clay mask all over her face while two cucumbers are covering her eyes. Cucumber has long been known for its ability in combating dark circles. But its super power doesn't stop there. It can also act as a soothing and hydrating ingredient and is frequently used to produce moisturising mask and moisturisers. Having cucumber in this mask will help brighten up a dull complexion (I think my tired skin is going to love it!) and soothe my angry pimples!
The Bad Ones
Okay, I saw Alcohol. Alcohol can cause moisture to evaporate quickly but since it's a 5 to 1 game up there, I don't think it should be much of a issue. But probably due to the presence of alcohol, the mask feels really cool on the skin as the evaporation brings together the heat away from the surface of our skin. Since you can't patch test a mask, be sure to go through the ingredient list to mask sure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients!

SMELLS BUT THAT'S COOL
The mask smells like shower gel. The fragrance is rather strong as I still could detect it while it was on my skin. Although it fades to almost nothing at the end of the 15-minute masking session. Even though I did not put mine in the fridge before I used it, it felt really cooling on my skin, which is out of my expectation! You know how much I love a mask that comes with cooling sensation!

LIFT IT WHILE YOU'RE AT IT
You can use the mask to give your face a lifting effect. All I did was just make sure I pull up the chin part tightly and let the mask overlap itself on the sides of my cheeks. The mask has long cuts on both sides of the cheeks. These cuts are longer than most masks I've tried and it allows us to adjust the mask to fit to our face shape. This is the one thing I love most about this mask! The mask managed to hold in position allowing the lifting effect I want to take place during the whole 10-minute session.

HOW TO USE
Another thing about this mask that fascinates me is that its descriptions, instructions and ingredients are written in both English and Korean. That makes understanding the steps much easier. They recommend to wash the face and use a face lotion (a.k.a. toner) before putting on the mask. The mask is made of cotton and is quite thick in my opinion. So it's not that easily torn but you still have to be careful when positioning it on your face.
I had mine on for 15 minutes. The mask is super cooling and comfortable. You can put yours into the fridge for a stronger chilling sensation.
LEAVE AND ENJOY
After you're happy with the position, all you need to do next is set a 15-20 minute timer and go do whatever you want. The mask did not slide a bit even though I was sitting up and walking around the whole time. But, if you have the time, just take 15-20 minute off and enjoy the mask! You can lie down and listen to your favourite relaxing music. Letting your skin focus on drinking up the mask essence and relax your mind.

I felt my skin becoming smoother and much more hydrated after the mask. The essence was almost fully absorbed that not much patting was required. What's left behind on my skin was not tacky at all. That's the one thing I was hoping for the whole time when using this mask. Because that way I can keep the essence on without having to wash off. Also, just thought I should mention that the alcohol did not dry out nor cause my skin to flush.
Mine is ready to be removed! Can you see that my skin has absorbed all of the essence?
WHO IS THIS FOR?
As long as you are not allergic to any of the ingredients, you can use it. It is suitable for all skin types but dry skin and sensitive skin peeps should look our for the alcohol that it contains. But even though I'm sensitive to alcohol, I did not find it a problem here. It worked awesomely on my skin and I'm starting to think I should probably get more of this when it's on sale! Those of you who are facing redness and pimple issues, I strongly feel this can be a babe to your troubled skin!

I need to try a mask like this! It really looks like such a relaxing experience, and it's amazing how you can see the difference straight after the mask. I would definitely try one out if they had a moisturising range too x
