COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream Review

I HATED SUNBLOCKS
I'm so horribly good at procrastinating I put the pro in it. Okay that didn't come from me, I'm terrible at puns. But I've been procrastinating a lot! Should have started writing this post two days ago but I've put it off until the very last minute, sigh. But that's not my point. My point is, sunblock has been my worst enemy. I've never liked sunblock since I first learnt about it. No matter it is for my face or my body, I just hate them. You know what they say about a girl who doesn't use sunblock?
I don't.

What I do know is if I cannot stop loving this Aloe Soothing Sun Cream I got from COSRX. It has changed my perspectives of sunblock and cured my hatred towards it. I consider myself lucky because I found the perfect sunblock on a second try.

The first sunblock I got was from my aesthetician. It was oily and the makeup I put on later wouldn't stay put. I was struggling with maintaining consistent use and I ended up being told sun spots have developed on my skin! WHAT??? I'm only 23, no wait in fact, 22 years and 9 months old! I can't have sun spots! So I dedicated the rest of my life to searching the right sunblock. The sunblock that I will use every day without complaining. It didn't take me my whole life to look for it (else I won't ever be able to share with you guys), it took me two months.

COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream (RM55 for 50ML)

I NOW HAVE FIVE TUBES
I still remember finding out about COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream and fangirling over it after trying out my first tube. I clicked faster than I could when I found out they have a RM58 Bundle Buy on Hermo! That means you can buy two at a price of only RM58! Unfortunately it was only a one time thing. I bought two bundles because I thought, buy two free shipping, why not? And I ended up with FIVE Aloe Soothing Sun Cream, one which I bought before I found out about the deal. Maybe instead of becoming a crazy cat lady, I can become the crazy suncream lady.

MATTE, SMOOTH, NO WHITE CAST
That's it for my review today.

Just kidding.

But those are the three words I'd use if I were to describe it in three words. Not the most powerful vocabs but they are sufficient to make me love it. Hopefully sufficient to make you want to continue reading.

It being matte is the most important thing in my life. My first sunblock had failed me and I was desperately in need of something that does not grease up my whole face. I already have an oily T zone I struggle to manage, so thank you for the extra oil you're adding (in Mandarin, 加油 “add oil” is the direct translation of "all the best"). My prayer was heard and I was so glad this does not join the oily sunblock club. It helps my makeup stay and keep my BB foundation from sliding off. What's better? My oily nose loves it so much it promises to work on reducing the oil production.

You know who's the culprit behind those recurrent acnes I got last year? (Don't worry, no graphic images included, read on) Yes, THAT sunblock. No, not the Aloe Soothing Sun Cream. This COSRX sun cream did not break me out at all. I love how it feels on my skin and its noticeable moisturising effect. I've been guilty of this but I've been skipping moisturiser in the morning because I feel the 5,500ppm of Aloe Vera is sufficient to keep my skin hydrated! Honestly? I actually look forward to this step in my morning routine now because it just feels so comfortable on my skin. I could literally feel my skin being pumped with moisture. Be sure not to go overboard, though. It can get sticky and that's not a good thing for us long haired gals!

I'm not sure how particular you are with your sunblock but I have many rules for mine. No white cast is one. I have no interest in looking as pale as a ghost while I already look pale from being lack of sleep. Life of a full time accounting staff + part time blogger! So this is perfect. Those portraits I post on Instagram (check out my Instagram feed below, just scroll all the way down ↓) all have me using the Aloe Soothing Sun Cream. The skin colour of my face still matches the rest of my body? Check, no white cast.

You stopped here just now if you scrolled down. You're welcome.

COSRX Aloe Soothing Suncream Review

I feel like I could become COSRX's brand ambassador, which I'm not, because I really want to recommend all their products to you! Remember that I told you I have five of this Aloe Soothing Sun Cream? I didn't buy them all for myself, I'm not the crazy suncream lady, yet. I bought them for my brother and dad. It's hard to get them to put products on their face. Hands up if you tried! But that's how comfortable this is. I managed to get them BOTH to use and on a daily basis! *PROUD* Hey don't judge. Men's skins are skin too! Let them have the protection from evil UV rays, they deserve it too! Okay, waaaay too many exclamation marks.

Did I also mention this babe has SPF50 PA+++? I almost left that out! But I'm assuming you saw that in the first picture. :P Yes SPF50 and a PA of +++,  pretty much sufficient for every day use! Make sure you reapply as you go. The cream often gets rubbed off during the day and it can be worse if you sweat. Anything to prevent sun spots!

And ingredient list, how can I end a post without a quote of the ingredient list! That's simply not my style. Mind you, it's quite long.

    1. Hi Meyha, it’s not. You’d need to reapply it as you go. :)
