As a K-beauty addict I've been educated by so many other believers to start wrinkle care as early as I can. What I'm about to share with you today, is the result and whether I'd recommend the product for you. Make sure you read till the end because I have some great things to share with you!

In the video, I only gave the briefest ideas of how the serum smells and how it feels on my skin since I had not really used the product. Now you know I've tried the product for two weeks before I have the confidence to review for you. 

WHAT? BABY WIPES?

The moment I unscrewed the dropper, that was the first thought that hit me. BABY WIPES. It smelled like freaking baby wipes. As a kid, I've never liked the smell and I grew up to hate it even more. I was terrified. I don't want my first wrinkle care product to be the one I hate! So I took a deep breathe and put it close to my nose. Thank goodness, I started smelling something different. The smell turned into those ginseng tea I used to have. Only it was much more concentrated. After all this has 7.98% of Red Ginseng Extract in just 30ml!

When I put a few drops on the back of my hand to test it out, I was shocked by how thick it is. The dropper was barely releasing the serum even though I've pressed quite hard. Could something this thick work well with the rest of my routine? I needed to find that out! After I was done playing with it, I decided it's time it went onto my skin. Never have I once thought in my life I'd be putting ginseng on my face. This is by far the most luxurious product in my skincare routine! The excitement is real! 😍

In the instructions, they recommend to put 3 to 4 drops on clean face and throat but I usually layer my face with toner and essence first. Then I use the dropper to drop one drop each on my forehead and both sides of my cheek. I use this twice a day as recommended. After it has been completely absorbed, I either follow up with my COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream (morning) or the Serene Aesthetics Marine Gel (night).

SPREADING GINSENG ON MY SKIN

Imagine living in a hot country like Malaysia and having a thick, sticky product that blocks the absorption of the rest of your skincare. Not only your skin doesn't get to enjoy the last few steps of your routine, you will probably hold so much grudge towards the sticky member and decide to stuff it away. Isn't that a sad waste of money?

Luckily, spreading the serum out is easy given its thick consistency. I was worried that it will not fit well with Malaysia's weather but shockingly, it absorbs amazingly well! My face doesn't feel sticky after it has been fully absorbed into my skin. Although it has 1,000ppm of Panax Ginseng Seed Oil, it doesn't feel oily at all. The only thing that it does to remind you its existence is the mild ginseng smell that lingers for a minute or two before it completely fades away. For me this is not an issue at all since I've got used to the smell and don't think it smells like baby wipes anymore.

ANY SULWHASOO FANS?

If you love Sulwhasoo then you must have heard about the Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Essential Oil (it costs USD130!). The Panax Ginseng Seed Oil is the main ingredient in this essential oil and it has the ability to induce collagen synthesis. This explains why the I'm From Ginseng Serum worked on my skin! I have this one deep fine line under my right eye which I suspect only I can see. Did I just draw everyone's attention to my almost invisible fine line? Oh well. 

I'm staring into your souls. Just kidding. 

PICTURE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS

After just two weeks of using this new baby, I can see a vast improvement. If you click on the image to view it in large, you can see one very fine line under my left eye. With a short two-week use, the serum has helped reduce the appearance of that annoying line by a lot! I couldn't actually detect any difference until I looked at these two pictures side by side. The line has become so much less visible (to me) and I'm very happy about it! 

If you have the budget, by all means try the the Sulwhasoo Ginseng Serum I mentioned in my Pre-Review post. But if you're like me, who's previous most expensive skincare item is the RM84 Mizon Multi Function Snail Repair Eye Cream, why not give this I'm From Ginseng Serum a thought? I think it works wonderfully and is almost 7 times cheaper than the Sulwhasoo version! I would totally recommend it from the results I've got! 

MOTHER'S/FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEA
Mother's Day is near! A wrinkle care product like this one sounds like a perfect gift idea to me. If you are still thinking what to get for your mum, I highly recommend this one! Even if you've already bought something for your mum (such a good kid, unlike me), consider getting this for your dad for Father's Day. Don't judge, men's skin is skin too! I've got my dad to use this every morning in hope that this magical serum will help with his crow feet and smile lines (still in testing phase!).
