Meet My Makeup Academy Palette!

Not long ago ago, I bought a new makeup palette from Sephora. It looks totally awesome (of course, it's mine!) and I would never want others! This SEPHORA COLLECTION Makeup Academy Blockbuster is small in size, which makes it portable and easy to carry. It consists of 72 shades of eye shadows ,28 different colours of lip glosses, 7 types of blushes, 18 colours of eyeliner crème, 3 tones of concealer, an eye shadow primer, a lip primer, 2 double-ended sponge tip applicator, one double-ended eye shadow brush, one double-ended blush brush and of course, a mirror. It may be a little too much for a beginner, but trust me, this thing is FUN!

You see how many colours it has? I was so mesmerised by it at the first sight!

However, I hadn't bought it right where I first saw it as it was about 165 bucks (a tad out of my initial budget). It was about 4 or 5 days later when I had decided to get this amazing palette at a different Sephora shop which I happened to pass by and I found out that it was only 128 bucks! A total of..., 37 bucks cheaper! Although it was totally possible that I've actually mistaken the price I saw at the first Sephora.

Anyway, this palette is now in MY possession!

I've tried and tested it on my skin and I love it so much!

The choice of colors is simply wonderful and I can have any color I want to match with my outfit. Some days when I feel like it, I would choose a brown eyeliner to go with my nude makeup look. While on some days when I want to look bolder, I would choose a darker eyeliner to further define my eyes. Such convenience!

The different shades of lip colors also give me the luxury of switching my lip color from a sweet pink to a bold red whenever I like. I'm really enjoying playing with this palette and switching my makeup look constantly while discovering what suits me best!

Plus, it's very long lasting as well. After many uses, the products hardly seemed reduced at all. Maybe I don't really use a lot or maybe my shortsightedness is playing a trick on my brain but most of the ones I used frequently (like the dark brown eyeshadow) still look like they are intact and unused.

The design of the box itself is also very hygienic. It keeps out dust from settling on the palette and at the same time allows users to access with ease. I also absolutely appreciate the fact that they painted the box black because I think black is the best for something chic and classic like this!

So this is it! My introduction and review of the Makeup Academy Palette by Sephora. Do you own something similar or even better? Share it with me in the comment section below and let me know!
