I've been away so long I couldn't stand the itch of not writing something anymore. It's been awhile, isn't it? There was so much going on in the past one month and things are going just crazy. I had the most fun-filled month ever with my brother back home, a last-minute trip to Hong Kong and a surprise that still shocks myself even now. Let's not get swayed away by those things and focus on our special guests today: Real Fresh Skin Detoxers.

ROSE OR GREEN TEA??
I got both the Rose and Green Tea variants from Althea (as the title clearly suggests haha). It was a surprise collaboration between Althea and Get It Beauty that benefits beauty lovers like me. Nothing gets more exciting than seeing both my favourite skincare ingredients being available as options. Althea is offering them both at a discounted price of RM77 instead of the usual RM86 (since each is selling at RM43).
Both came with a tube design that's super hygienic (only Rose is shown here).
I WAS CONFUSED
Honestly, I have no idea how to use the Detoxers when they first reached me. I can't understand the Korean characters and there seemed to be no available information to refer to. So I delayed almost a week before I opened them up to try. I found out that they are 2-in-1s which can be used as cleansers or left on for 10 seconds to use as a quick detoxification mask. What? 10 seconds? I was very intrigued!

There are so many ingredients that I've never seen in other products before! HAHA! Well, you can refer straight to the Skincarisma links above for the good and bad ingredients. I'm not going to do a detailed breakdown here this time in case the post gets too long. We will keep it simple and straight to the point on HOW TO USE and THE RESULTS.
Both the Rose and Green Tea Detoxers go on the skin transparent.
HOW TO USE
Like mentioned above, this detoxer is a 2-in-1 cleanser / mask. You can put it on for a while (recommended time is 10 seconds but I've left it on for more than that) before massaging your skin in circular motion to help clean and revitalise the skin at the same time. I wouldn't recommend putting on too much because it can be a little hard to wash off. Just a small 10-cent (Malaysian's, roughly 1cm diameter? 🙈) size would do.

WHAT THEY ARE LIKE
None of them smells like what green tea / rose would smell like HAHA. Although they both do carry the correct colours. Personally I prefer the smell of the Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea. It smells more refreshing and would be a good wake-me-up cleanser in the morning haha. Not just that, the little particles inside are also more detectable when I massaged it on my skin, giving my skin a more satisfactory exfoliation compared to the Rose version.
My favourite is the Green Tea Skin Detoxer.
I PREFER GREEN TEA
I love the Green Tea one more because it smells more refreshing and has little granules that allow better exfoliation. Moreover, green tea is a rich source of epigallocatechin gallate, which is one of the most powerful antioxidants available and a good anti-inflammatory agent. It can help reduce skin inflammation (go away acnes!) and inhibit the action of collagenase (an enzyme that breaks down collagen).
Massage in circular motion for 10 seconds before washing it off.
MY VERDICT
For a busy mask lover, this is like the quickest mask you can ever apply since you only need to leave it on for 10 seconds before removing. At the same time, the detoxers can also help clean up the skin while you happily enjoy the benefits of Green Tea and Rose. My face also doesn't feel dry at all after using the cleanser and no breakout was noted. If you are on a tight budget and can only choose one, I highly recommend getting the Green Tea version!
